Cold Days

 

Morning!

So nice to have another big weekend with 3 days! Yes, today (Monday the 11th), is also a holiday! It's so nice to wake up on Saturday with the sun outside. Despite the cold weather, I had some time to go to IKEA with some friends and purchase some cute things for my little home. I always want to give my personal touch to the place where I live in, so it's a start!

É tão bom ter mais um fim-de-semana grande com 3 dias! Sim, hoje (Segunda-feira, dia 11) é também feriado! É óptimo acordar no Sábado, com o sol lá fora. Apesar do tempo frio, tive algum tempo para ir ao IKEA com umas amigas e comprar umas coisas giras para a minha pequena casa. Quero sempre dar um toque pessoal ao sítio onde vivo, por isso é um começo!

Sunday I tried to go outside for a walk, but the heavy rain was making it so difficult, and the crazy wind was trying to ruin my umbrella. I've decided to stay close to my home and go to a coffee shop that I've discovered the same day while I was going to the laundry service to dry my clothes. It's a really cute place, meant for people to stay for while, with good teas and coffees, pastries and cakes. They have free wi-fi and international magazines, so basically it's really comfy and a great place to go if you have any work to do or if you just feel like having a nice chat with your friends.

Domingo eu tentei sair um pouco para caminhar, mas a chuva forte tornou tudo mais complicado, e o vento louco estava a tentar arruinar a minha sombrinha. Decidi ficar perto de casa e ir a um café que descobri no mesmo dia quando fui à lavandaria para secar a minha roupa. É um sítio muito giro, perfeito para as pessoas ficarem durante algum tempo, com bons chás e café, folhados e bolos. Têm wi-fi grátis e revistas internacionais, por isso basicamente é muito confortável e um belo sítio para ir se tens algum trabalho para fazer ou se queres apenas ter uma conversa agradável com amigos.

Saint-Gilles

Monday morning and the sun was shinning again. With a national holiday, is quite difficult to find a place opened, so I decided to go outside and take advantage of the good weather. Well, it was really cold but at least there was no rain! I went to explore the lovely area of Saint-Gilles, filled with Portuguese people and some cute Portuguese restaurants, shops and cafes. There are so many adorable houses, so many terraces and a balcony on every window. It's a lovely area, I definetly have to go there more often, and get to know Saint-Gilles a bit more.

Segunda-feira de manhã e o sol também estava a brilhar. Com um feriado nacional, é bastante difícil encontrar um sítio aberto, por isso decidi ir passear e aproveitar o bom tempo. Bem, estava muito frio mas ao menos não chovia! Fui explorar a linda zona de Saint-Gilles, recheada de gente Portuguesa e de alguns restaurantes, lojas e cafés Portugueses. Há imensas casas adoráveis  imensas esplanadas e uma varanda em cada janela. É uma zona amorosa, definitivamente tenho de ir lá mais vezes e conhecer Saint-Gilles um pouco mais.
