Dille & Kamille

This weekend was another busy one! So many things to do in only 2 days! I've decided I really needed to buy a new pair of boots, since my old boots are quite used and my feet get all wet, something that shouldn't happen! 

After that, I went with my friend Dani to an amazing and cute shop I discovered on the previous day. It's called Dille & Kamille. They sell adorable and functional things for your home, in terms of decoration, gardening, kitchen stuff, wines, teas, all types of things. They have several shops in Belgium, and this one is next to Avenue Louise, so quite close to me. And I love it! I will surely go there next weekend and start buying some Christmas gifts!

Este fim-de-semana foi mais um fim-de-semana ocupado! Tantas coisas para fazer em apenas 2 dias! Decidi que precisava mesmo de comprar um novo par de botas, já que as minhas velhas botas estão bastante usadas e os meus pés ficam sempre molhados, uma coisa que não devia acontecer!

Depois disso, fui com a minha amiga Dani a uma loja fofa e fantástica que eu descobri no dia anterior. Chama-se Dille & Kamille. Eles vendem coisas adoráveis e funcionais para a tua casa, em termos de decoração, jardinagem, instrumentos de cozinha, vinhos, chás, todo o tipo de coisas. Têm várias lojas na Bélgica, e esta é mesmo ao lado da Avenue Louise, por isso é perto de mim. E eu adoro-a! Sem dúvida que voltarei lá no próximo fim-de-semana para começar a comprar presentes de Natal!

Mer du Nord / Noordzee

Since some colleagues are leaving Brussels to work somewhere else, me and some friends got invited to join them in one of the most well-known restaurants in Brussels - Mer du Nord. It's specialized in fish, and I must confess I'm not a fish person, but I was amazed with the food. It's so delicious and incredible. Every once in a while those amazing "croquettes" pop up in my head! Terrific flavour! Also it was quite nice for me to visualize the Sainte-Catherine area getting ready for the Christmas Markets, which by the way start on the 29th of November, so next friday! I couldn't be more excited!

Como algumas colegas estão a deixar Bruxelas para irem trabalhar para outros sítios, eu e algumas amigas fomos convidadas para nos juntar-mos a elas num dos restaurantes mais conhecidos de Bruxelas - Mer du Nord. É especializado em peixe, e eu tenho de confessar que não sou de comer peixe, mas fiquei pasmada com a comida. É tão deliciosa e incrível. De vez em quando aqueles fantásticos croquetes surgem-me na cabeça! Sabor fantástico! Além disso, foi também muito agradável ver a zona de Sainte-Catherine a preparar-se para os Christmas Markets, que já agora começam dia 29 de Novembro, ou seja, na próxima sexta-feira! Não podia estar mais entusiasmada!

Antwerp

On Sundays there's not much you can do, since everything is closed, but at work one of my colleagues mentioned that in Antwerp there are some nice vintage shops and markets opened on sundays! So, me and Dani decided to go to Antwerp and get to know a new city in Belgium! It was so exciting to get there so quickly, it takes 45min by train, and it's amazing to see something different! It was quite cold, but Antwerp is beautiful and filled with amazing design and vintage shops, plus the Fashion Museum MOMU, which we had the chance to visit for free!

Nos Domingos nunca há muito que fazer, já que tudo está fechado, mas no trabalho uma das minhas colegas mencionou que em Antuérpia há muitas lojas vintage e mercados abertos aos Domingos! Então, eu e a Dani decidimos ir até Antuérpia e ficar a conhecer uma nova cidade da Bélgica! Foi tão entusiasmante chegar lá tão rápido, demora cerca de 45min em comboio, e é fantástico ver algo diferente! Estava bastante frio, mas Antuérpia é tão bonita e recheada de lojas de design e lojas vintage geniais, mais o Museu de Moda MOMU que pudemos ver de graça!

In Antwerp, we found an amazing place to eat, which is also a Laundry! I was so fascinated because I always think how boring it is when you have to go to the Laundry and wait all that time for your clothes to wash and dry, and how lovely it would be to have a coffee while you wait. And this place just fulfilled this idea! So we went there and we had an amazing brunch in buffet type, so we could choose whatever we wanted, from different breads, cheeses, hams, eggs, and in the end a delicious waffle with all the toppings we wanted! It was really nice, so here you a good suggestion in case you want to visit Antwerp! Now it's starting a new week, November comes to an end, and I'll be quite busy at work, but so thrilled about Christmas and my holidays in Portugal!

Em Antuérpia encontrámos um sítio fantástico para comer, que é também uma lavandaria! Eu fiquei fascinada porque eu penso sempre o quão aborrecido é ter de ir à Lavandaria e esperar todo aquele tempo pelas roupas a lavar e secar, e o quão agradável seria tomar um café enquanto se espera. E este sítio cumpriu esta ideia! Então fomos lá e comemos um fantástico brunch do género buffet, por isso podíamos escolher o que quiséssemos, desde diferentes tipos de pão, queijo, fiambre, ovos e no final uma deliciosa waffles com todos os toppings que quiséssemos! Foi muito agradável, e pronto aqui fica uma sugestão caso queiram visitar Antuérpia! Agora começa uma nova semana, termina Novembro, e eu estarei bastante ocupada no trabalho, mas super entusiasmada com o Natal e com as minhas férias em Portugal!
