Bienvenue Automne!

New Season

We have already entered in the season of dry leaves and warm colours, and we're now ready to wear nice pullovers and put on some socks and closed shoes. Fortunately, Brussels have been having blue skies and dry streets. For now! I guess the nice weather won't last long. Still, the best way to enjoy sunny days, is to walk around the city, so I've decided to take some pictures to the area where I'm living.

Já entrámos na estação das folhas secas e das cores quentes, e estamos já prontos para usar camisolas agradáveis, colocar umas meias e sapatos fechados. Felizmente, Bruxelas tem tido o céu azul e as ruas secas. Por agora! Acho que o bom tempo não vai durar muito. De qualquer forma, a melhor maneira de aproveitar os dias de sol, é caminhar pela cidade, por isso decidi tirar umas foto à área onde eu vivo. 

The Avenue

So I've managed to find a nice apartment near the Avenue Louise. It's a quite fancy area, since all the luxury shops are located in this Avenue. I must say, I don't really go to this kind of shops, I just like this area because it's very crowded during the day which allows me to feel safe, and during the night is very quiet, so I don't listen to any sounds from the outside, when I'm trying to sleep.

Então eu consegui encontrar um bom apartamento perto da Avenue Louise. É uma zona bastante cara já que todas as lojas de luxo estão localizadas nesta Avenida. Devo dizer que eu não vou a este tipo de lojas, simplesmente gosto desta área porque é bastante movimentada durante o dia, o que me permite sentir-me segura, e durante a noite é bastante sossegada, por isso não oiço ruídos do exterior quando estou a tentar dormir. 

This avenue is also filled with restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. So basically, I have everything I need really close to my apartment. This Avenue joins with the Avenue Toison d'Or, with more expensive shops, which also leads me to Porte de Namur and Chaussée d'Ixelles, where I can find loads of other shops and restaurants. As you can see, everything is quite close!

Esta avenida está também recheada de restaurantes, cafés e supermercados. Por isso, basicamente, tenho tudo o que preciso bem perto do meu apartamento. Esta avenida une-se com a Avenue Toison d'Or, com mais lojas caras, e que me leva até Porte de Namur e a Chaussée d'Ixelles, onde posso encontrar muitas mais lojas e restaurantes. Como podem ver, está tudo bastante perto!

New Month

I hope you enjoy this lovely season, with loads of warm drinks, enjoy the streets all coloured by the leaves. My birthday was on Sunday, and I had a great night out with my new friends from work. Also, I'm expecting an adorable visit, soon! More on that later. Welcome October!
