Jeu de Balle

I love Saturdays, and I'm starting to enjoy this city even more. Yesterday, in the morning, I went to the Flea Market on Place Jeu de Balle. This is one of the best Markets in Brussels, where you can find loads of antique pieces, of all kind! Since cameras, to furniture, frames, electronic devices, clothes, jewelry. The atmosphere there is so amazing, everyone selling their stuff, people trying to negotiate prices. This Market happens everyday, so it's definetly one of the best events to visit in Brussels. Also, I really want to find nice things to decorate my apartment, so going to Markets like this, is such a thrill!

Eu adoro Sábados, e começo a gostar desta cidade cada vez mais. Ontem, de manhã, fui à Feira da Ladra na Place Jeu de Balle. Esta é uma das melhores Feiras/Mercados em Bruxelas, onde se pode encontrar imensas antiguidades, de todos os tipos! Desde máquinas fotográficas, mobília, molduras, aparelhos electrónicos, roupas, jóias. A atmosfera ali é tão fantástica, toda a gente a vender as suas coisas, pessoas a tentar negociar os preços. Este Mercado é todos os dias, por isso é definitivamente um dos melhores eventos a visitar em Bruxelas. Além disso, eu quero mesmo encontrar coisas bonitas para decorar o meu apartamento, por isso ir a Mercados como este é uma emoção!

Rue Haute

The Rue Haute is one of the oldest streets in Brussels. You can find so many old shops, mostly furniture and antique shops, with lots of adorable things. After the Flea Market, me and my friend took this street, and ended up having a bagel in an amazing coffee shop in this street. The coffee shop is also a furniture shop and a clothes shop on the top floor, with so many gorgeous clothes from Spanish independent brands. The place is called Atelier en Ville, and it was such a big surprise for me, because I really liked it. We had a delicious bagel with some fries and natural juices. Another "must-visit" place.

A Rue Haute é uma das ruas mais antigas de Bruxelas. Pode-se encontrar imensas lojas antigas, sobretudo lojas de mobiliário e antiguidades, com imensas coisas adoráveis. Depois do Mercado, eu e a minha amiga tomámos esta rua, e acabámos por ir comer um bagel num café fantástico nesta rua. Este café é também loja de mobiliário e de vestuário no piso de cima, com imensas roupas lindas de marcas Espanholas independentes. O café chama-se Atelier en Ville e foi uma enorme surpresa para mim porque realmente gostei! Comemos um bagel delicioso, acompanhado com umas batatas fritas e sumos naturais. Mais um sítio de "visita-obrigatória".

God save the Cream

Back in Louise, we went for coffee in a cute place that I've read about in some website about the best places to eat and drink in Brussels. This place is called God Save the Cream, and it's a really British place. I had a Latte and after we shared some amazing scones with jam and lemon curd. This place seems to be really well known because it was full when we arrived and we had to wait for a place to sit. Still, we spent some time there, just talking about everything, listening to their music and enjoying the delightful decoration of this place. Here you'll also find so many british food articles you can buy.

De volta a Louise, fomos tomar um café num sítio muito giro sobre o qual eu já tinha lido num site sobre os melhores sítios para comer e beber em Bruxelas. Este café chama-se God Save the Cream e é um sítio muito Britânico. Eu bebi um latte e depois partilhámos uns scones deliciosos com compota e lemon curd. Este café parece ser muito conhecido porque estava cheio quando lá chegámos e tivemos de esperar por um lugar para nos sentarmos. De qualquer forma, ainda ficámos lá muito tempo, a falar de tudo, ouvindo a música e a disfrutar da decoração fantástica deste sítio. Aqui, pode-se também encontrar imensos artigos de comida Britânica, que se podem comprar.

I hope you all enjoy this and that it makes you feel like coming here! So far, Brussels is being great. Yesterday night it was the "Nuit Blanche" so everyone was outside, just wacthing nice projections on the walls, the exhibitions in certain places of the city, having a drink in a cool bar, listening to the music of the streets. It was a long night, and though this city is not so big, there's always something happening and everyone goes to everything! It's a city to enjoy every tiny bit. Have a lovely week!

Espero que tenham gostado e que vos dê vontade de vir cá. Para já, Bruxelas está a ser fantástica! Ontem à noite foi a "Nuit Blanche" por isso toda a gente estava na rua, a ver as fantásticas projecções nas paredes, as exposições em certos locais da cidade, a tomar uns copos num bar porreiro, a ouvir a música das ruas. Foi uma noite muito divertida e embora esta cidade não seja muito grande, há sempre qualquer coisa a acontecer e toda a gente vai a tudo! É uma cidade para disfrutar de cada pedacinho.
