Me encanta Barcelona

The past 2 weeks were quite busy because me and my colleagues had a few trips to different cities, in search of inspiration to design our following collection. This time I went to Barcelona and it was amazing! The weather was nice, a bit windy though, but good enough for us to walk around the city and do our job. We went for lunch in a really nice place called "El Tinglado", near the Harbour, and before we went back to Brussels we ate some beautiful pancakes in "Tommy Mel's", a funny place inspired by the American diners of the 50's! It was so nice to visit Barcelona and start speaking in Spanish again. I've been to Barcelona once, and hopefully I will return again with more time to explore this beautiful city!

As 2 semanas que passaram foram bastante ocupadas porque eu e as minhas colegas tivemos algumas viagens a diferentes cidades, à procura de inspiração para desenhar a próxima colecção. Desta vez fui a Barcelona e foi fantástico! O tempo esteve bom, apesar de um pouco ventoso, mas bom o suficiente para nós andarmos pela cidade a fazer o nosso trabalho. Almoçámos num sítio genial chamado "El Tinglado", perto do Porto, e antes de voltarmos para Bruxelas, comemos umas panquecas deliciosas no "Tommy Mel's", um sítio muito giro inspirado nos Restaurantes Americanos do anos 50. Foi tão bom visitar Barcelona e começar a falar Espanhol outra vez. Já tinha estado em Barcelona uma vez, e espero voltar um dia com mais tempo para explorar esta linda cidade!

Friends in Brussels

Last weekend I received a couple of friends from Portugal, in my house: my best friend from University and her boyfriend. It was so nice to see her again! It's always a bit awkward to see here the people I know from Portugal, because they are not from here, but it's so nice at the same time. We had luck with the weather, it was amazingly warm and sunny, which was perfect to walk around the city without umbrellas or big coats and scarves! I took them to the Sablon area, the Grand Place (of course, they have to see the more touristic areas), Sainte-Catherine, Flagey, Bailli, Chatelain... We took so many pictures, so now we have great souvenirs of that beautiful weekend in Brussels! I hope they liked it!

No fim-de-semana passado recebi um casal de amigos de Portugal na minha casa: a minha melhor amiga da Universidade e o namorado dela. Foi tão bom vê-la de novo! É sempre estranho ver aqui pessoas que eu conheço de Portugal, porque eles não são daqui, mas é tão bom ao mesmo tempo. Tivemos sorte com o tempo, esteve surpreendentemente quente e ensolarado, o que foi perfeito para passearmos na cidade sem sombrinha ou casacões e cachecóis! Levei-os à zona do Sablon, à Grand Place (obviamente, eles têm de ver as zonas mais turísticas), Sainte-Catherine, Flagey, Bailli, Chatelain... Tirámos imensas fotografias, por isso agora temos fantásticas recordações daquele fim-de-semana em Bruxelas! Espero que eles tenham gostado!

The past month we had amazing weather, and at work we already had lunch outside a couple of times and it feels so good! They've put some wooden tables and benches outside, on the grass, for people to sit and have lunch so it's great to be there. It's quite relaxing. April and May will be super busy with loads of work to do and deadlines to meet. But I'm quite happy because in the end of April I will go to Portugal for one weekend, not too much time unfortunatly, but it will be good enough to visit my family and spend some time with them!  I'm so excited, it won't be long!

No mês que passou tivemos temperaturas fantásticas, e no trabalho, já almoçámos no exterior algumas vezes e sabe tão bem! Eles colocaram umas mesas e bancos de madeira lá fora, na relva, para as pessoas se sentarem a almoçar, por isso é óptimo estar ali. É muito relaxante. Abril e Maio vão ser meses super ocupados com imenso trabalho para fazer e prazos para cumprir. Mas estou muito feliz porque no final de Abril eu vou a Portugal um fim-de-semana, não é muito tempo infelizmente, mas vai ser bom o suficiente para eu visitar a minha família e passar algum tempo com eles! Estou muito entusiasmada, e não falta muito!
