In Amsterdam

Amazing June with so many lovely things happening! After an amazing gig by The Kooks at Ancienne Belgique, a night I will never forget, I headed to Amsterdam with 2 friends for the Holi Festival of Colours. It was my first time in Holland so I was super excited! We took the Eurolines bus and after stopping in Hannover and Utrecht, we arrived to Amsterdam. It's quite a cool city, we had some time to see a bit of the centre before heading to the festival. So many bikes, I've never seen anything like that! Awesome! The weather was perfect for the festival, we had a great time dancing, jumping and throwing bright colored powders at each other! We only went back to Brussels in the next day, so we had time to enjoy the night in Amsterdam and see some bars and clubs before going to the bus station in the next morning. It was such a lovely day, I wanna go back and get to know more about this city and the other cities in Holland!

Fantástico mês de Julho com tantas coisas bonitas a acontecer! Depois de um concerto genial dos The Kooks no Ancienne Belgique, uma noite que jamais esquecerei, fui para Amesterdão com mais duas amigas para o Holi Festival of Colours. Foi a minha primeira vez na Holanda por isso eu estava super entusiasmada! Fomos no autocarro da Eurolines e depois de pararmos em Hannover e Utrecht, chegámos a Amesterdão. É uma cidade bem fixe, tivemos algum tempo para ver o centro antes de irmos para o Festival. Tantas bicicletas, nunca vi uma coisa assim! Brutal! O tempo esteve perfeito para o festival, divertimo-nos imenso a dançar, saltar e atirar pós de cores vivas umas às outras! Só voltámos para Bruxelas no dia seguinte, por isso tivemos tempo para aproveitar a noite em Amesterdão e ver alguns bares antes de irmos para a estação dos autocarros na manhã seguinte. Foi um belo dia, eu quero voltar para conhecer mais desta cidade e das outras cidades na Holanda!

The Best of Portugal (in Brussels!)

A few weeks ago I've read somewhere that this weekend a Portuguese party would take place in a Park here in Brussels. Apparently they do it every year and I was very curious. Today, after lunch, I went to the Parc Cinquantenaire to see the Party. It felt like home! So many Portuguese people... It's insane! Loads of stands with our typical food, our wines, cheeses and sausages! The beautiful pastries, croquettes and patties! It was really nice.  There was a stage with people dancing and singing, quite entertaining! They've managed to gather the best of Portugal in that park! Of course I had to buy some yummy things! It felt so good to be there in that atmosphere. Three more weeks and I'm heading to Portugal for my Summer holidays! Soon I will be enjoying 2 weeks of sunshine, beach, family and good food!

Algumas semanas atrás, eu li algures que ia haver uma Festa Portuguesa num Parque aqui em Bruxelas. Pelos vistos, fazem-na todos os anos e eu estava bastante curiosa! Hoje, depois d almoço, fui até ao Parc Cinquantenaire para ver a Festa. Senti-me em casa! Tantos Portugueses... é uma loucura! Imensas barracas com a nossa comida típica, os nossos vinhos, queijos e enchidos! Os maravilhosos pasteis, croquetes e rissóis! Foi tão bom. Havia um palco com pessoas a dançar e a cantar, bastante divertido! Eles conseguiram reunir o melhor de Portugal naquele parque! Claro que tive de comprar umas coisinhas deliciosas. Soube mesmo bem estar ali naquele ambiente. Mais três semanas e vou para Portugal passar as minhas férias de Verão! Em breve estarei a desfrutar de duas semanas de sol, praia, família e boa comida!
